Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV) 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control.
Against such things there is no law.
The fruits of the spirit is the instinctual work in us of the Holy Spirit. These fruits are a gift, to grow them we need to join our lives to Christ. God sent the law, and He also sent the spirit.

"The Golden Rule"This parable points out the importance of what we do with the fruit of the spirit. Serve those that God brings into our class and into our lives. This scripture reminds me of the fact that we are to do onto others as we would have done to us... "The Golden Rule". Honestly I have been truly blessed in my life. To help the students in my class is a gift. As a teenager I had a high school counselor help me. Today I wish I could tell her thank you. Someday in heaven I plan to thank her and give her a big hug. I want to help my students so they can in turn use the blessings God gives them to help others! Last week - A student at my school was told he would have to go to Saturday school to get intervention for his assignments. He burst out in tears, and yelled he can't, because he won't be able to see his dad! He stated he wouldn't go! His mom is in rehab and he can't miss seeing his dad. When I heard this story later, it broke my heart to think of the hardship this young man is going through. He is in the 7th grade. As a teacher we are here for more then just teaching reading and writing... We are here to just let our students know that someone cares about them and about their struggles.
